Practical meetup details, at a glance
Everything you need before joining us under the night sky—clear, low-pressure answers for first-time and returning members.
-
What does a typical meetup include?
Most sessions begin with a short sky briefing, then guided telescope viewing and open observation time where members share notes and questions.
-
Where do members usually gather?
We meet at a dark-sky friendly local park and post the exact location, parking notes, and start time in each event announcement.
-
What should I bring with me?
Bring warm layers, a red-light flashlight if possible, and water. Binoculars are great to have, but shared telescopes are usually available.
-
How are weather changes or cancellations announced?
If forecasts shift, we update the event page first and post a same-day notice with any delay, relocation, or cancellation details.
-
Are beginners welcome at meetups?
Absolutely. We explain each target in plain language, and new members are encouraged to ask questions at any point during the session.
Join us under the next clear night sky.
Come observe with friendly local stargazers, share what you notice, and learn together at your own pace.
Newcomers are always welcome, and no advanced equipment is required.
